Various Works on paper
Working across ink, watercolor wash, and mixed media on paper, these various series of works investigate the tension between structure and dissolution. The precise stroke of paint, the spontaneous mark of pen made against the field that refuses containment. Each work negotiates between these two opposites that inadvertently creates a harmonious flow. The disciplined hand and the stains that rebel because they can’t be predicted. It’s the lesson of letting go. Of letting the mess guide the way.
